Named after the Roman goddess of pleasure, bliss & delight, the daughter of Cupid & Psyche, the Love’s piercing arrow & the Soul that, once pierced, grows wings, Volupta is an online space dedicated to the ancient arts of Femininity & Womanhood. Inspired by the ancient wisdom & tradition, it aims to bring practices & practical means to develop skills, capabilities & knowledge often transmitted through the secret world of women. The practices should help a woman develop herself, her confidence, self-esteem, as well as her beauty, glamour, talents & skills. Volupta avoids reactionary attitudes and rather than regressing into past, seeks to translate timeless wisdom into something a modern woman can benefit from, regardless of the lifestyle she chooses for herself.
Volupta seeks to explore topics as vast and as rich as a woman’s soul, offering wisdom and skills in every domain of life.
Volupta draws no separations between the outer and the inner and will seek to explore external domain of beauty, glamour, seduction but also the inner domain of wisdom, knowledge, inner stability and balance. Likewise Volupta will seek to give you means to establish both relationship with yourself and relationship with others.
Volupta recognises the diversity among women — any advice or guidance offered, feel more than free to apply and integrate in a way that is harmonious with your own life. If something does not align with your life philosophy or preferences or some nuance relevant to your life is missed, you can simply skip it or readjust it. Volupta does not believe in absolutism and nothing here is absolute.
Far from it being just a classroom, it is imagined as a community that share their experiences, wisdom & knowledge on topics so that each flower blossoms & brings its unique Beauty to the world. The paywall is symbolic — as a way to still keep these teachings secret & available only to those who truly want them, the offering at the door makes it more likely we will receive and truly integrate that which we get from it. The door is open to everyone who wishes to enter.
One may wonder, what about the gentlemen? Gentlemen of course, are free to visit — whether because they desire to explore the secret worlds of women or because they simply wish to make an offering to the modern & digital Temple of the Goddess & gain some of Her Graces in his life. However, I would ask the gentlemen to hold back from instructing, teaching or imposing (natural conversation or anything else is welcome), as this is imagined to be primarily a women’s space. The gentlemen are asked to respect its unique laws & ways. Curiosity, insight, contemplation or anything else that comes in good & respectful spirit from the gentlemen is welcome. Every Friday you shall receive an article exploring a topic. Most will also include practical ways to integrate it into your life.
