A couple of weeks ago, in our chat, a subscriber asked about the techniques of regulating, grounding or cooling a man’s energy. Volupta touches on this topic in a few articles, but this subscriber’s comment called me to dive deeper into the topic — touching on how to do it as a woman, and also why a man needs it. We will also touch on how a woman benefits from this — since it is ideally, an alchemy of mutual activation. Sexes are creative only in interaction with each other — without a woman, a man is impotent and incapable of being generative; without a man, a woman’s fertility/creative potential remains unrealised. I have also spoken of this addressed to men in my friend’s publication; you can read it here.

In the article of “The Art of Space”, I mention how a centre of woman’s power is the power of emptiness. That article and the techniques there will help you if you do not know how to cultivate space — this is crucial because as you contain, it is also necessary for you to simultaneously create space. The more masculinity (from men or from the Divine; or perhaps the Divine using men as their vessel) you contain and hold, the more space you need to generate otherwise you will feel “stuck”. You should aim to always be vaster than a man — this way, you can completely envelop him and hold his entire being within you.

A man’s energetic system, naturally, is quite volatile and intangible. It tends to lack density, gravity and heaviness. This is why it seeks to discharge. When a man discharges, the “cup” he discharges into can either contain him or hold him or it can simply destroy him. Both functions of the Feminine are necessary — just as she holds and nourishes, she must destroy and burn away the leftovers that would otherwise pollute the existence.

Overcoming Competitiveness

Due to the volatile nature of man’s energy, it is often anxious, inflamed, disconnected and most importantly, impotent. He cannot create or project into any aspect of reality without the container — the Eve below holds and multiplies him as he pours down into her, and the Sophia above saves and liberates him as he bows down to her. On a purely day-to-day level, you may have heard how a man says he wishes to go to a nice restaurant, to a theatre, to an opera, or to celebrate holidays, but he cannot do it “without a woman” (I have heard it many times) — the gates of this experience are opened to him by her. Same applies if he wishes to be a father, a lover, a hero — through allowing him entry, she “shapes” him into that particular role. On subtler level — his emotional, erotic and spiritual potentials are held, contained and refined.

The art of regulating, grounding and cooling man’s energy is summed up in the simple act of containment. Contained, that energy is “planted” into soil and it begins to sprout. He gets to be able to see his own light and the woman becomes the way through which he can access knowledge of himself (and with that, what is he to do in the world). He gets to grow and create, to be the “shaper” of the world. A woman, absorbing and containing his energy, becomes more abundant, capable of creating herself thus making the world and the existence as a whole more beautiful and harmonious. In a perfect union, the sexes flip — woman becomes generative (phallic), and a man becomes contained (womb).

While these are the metaphysical principles behind this, as always, Volupta will bring it “down to earth” and also give you ways to incorporate this in your daily interactions and relationships.
